Set up Mack in ChatGPT
chatgpt.com on a computer: Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu plans. Setup takes about 2 minutes. Your personal connector address is on the welcome page you saw right after checkout. It looks like https://aicitationguide.com/mcp/<your access code>.
Before you start
- A computer. Custom apps are set up on chatgpt.com, not in the phone app.
- A paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu. On Business, Enterprise and Edu plans, your workspace admin may need to allow developer mode first.
Steps
- Go to chatgpt.com and sign in. Click your name or profile picture, then Settings.
- Turn on Developer mode. It is under Apps → Advanced settings (in some versions, under Security and login). ChatGPT warns that developer mode allows apps it has not reviewed. That is expected.
- Open Apps (called Plugins in newer versions) and click Create (or Add → Create MCP app).
- Name: Mack. Description: MK7’s AI rewrite agent for AI search. Paste your connector address into the MCP Server URL box: https://aicitationguide.com/mcp/<your access code>
- Set Authentication to No authentication. Your address already includes your access code.
- Tick the box that says you understand the risks, then click Create.
- Start a new chat. Click + next to the message box, choose Developer mode (or More), and select Mack.
- Try it: Use Mack to rewrite my homepage, https://yourwebsite.com, so AI search engines quote it.
Good to know
- ChatGPT turns an app on for one message at a time. Select Mack again (or type @Mack) for each new request.
- Mack does not work in temporary chats, agent mode or the phone app.
- If your workspace requires sign-in instead, choose OAuth, use https://aicitationguide.com/mcp as the URL, and paste your access code on the page that opens: your access code
