Add the toolkit to Claude

- In Claude (desktop app or claude.ai), open Settings → Connectors. On some plans this is under Customize → Connectors.
- Click Add custom connector. Name it AI Citation Guide, paste your address, and click Add.
- In a new chat, open the tools menu under the message box and make sure the toolkit is switched on.
- Try: “Use the MK7 toolkit to audit https://yourwebsite.com and explain the top 5 fixes.” When Claude asks permission to use a tool, choose Always allow.
Team and Enterprise plans: an owner adds the connector once under Organization settings, then each member switches it on. Each subscription includes 300 tool uses per month.
Common problems
I can’t find “Connectors” in Claude
Open Claude on a computer (the desktop app or claude.ai) and look under Settings → Connectors or Customize → Connectors. On Team and Enterprise plans, only an owner can add custom connectors, so ask yours to add it for the organization.
Claude says I can’t add another connector
Claude’s Free plan allows one custom connector. Remove the one you don’t need, or use a paid Claude plan.
Claude answers without using the toolkit
Check the toolkit is switched on in the tools menu under the message box, and mention it by name: “Use the MK7 toolkit to…”.
Claude says the access code isn’t valid, is turned off, or the subscription has ended
Check the address was pasted in full, with no spaces. If it still fails, contact us at celeste.duval@mk7llc.com and we’ll sort it out.
It says I’ve used my tool uses for this month
Your allowance resets on the 1st of each month. Contact us if you need more.
An audit says the page “could not be scored”
The website refused automated readers, needs a login, or was down. The report says which. A site that blocks automated readers often blocks AI search crawlers too, which is worth fixing.
The audit says my content needs JavaScript
The page shows its text only after JavaScript runs. Many AI crawlers don’t run JavaScript, so they see an almost empty page. Ask your web developer about server-side rendering.
I changed my page but the audit still shows the old version
The toolkit reads the live page. If your site uses caching, clear the cache or wait a few minutes, then run the audit again.
